Wood floor Variation Explained
It should be noted that wood is a natural material and variations in colour, texture and other naturally occurring features occur between batches of the same species. Different floor finishes also cause variation in appearance. In all cases, timber flooring supplied in job quantities will contain some variations from job to job and from samples on display. The boards on the floor and panels displayed are indicative of the wood species and its grade. Please ask our staff if you need further information.
Warranty
Heywood Australia gives 5 years warranty on its engineered board products against the delamination of the top-layer from plywood and the delamination of plywood itself. Please study the full details of our Warranty.

Grading
The European Oak Selection are presented with healthy knots (filled) with a maximum diameter of 15mm. No open defects, less colour variation. No sapwood and end crack allowed.
The Antique Collection are an extra rustic grade, hand carved to enhance the beautiful natural open cracks and characteristic aged knots. End cracks and healthy open knots and cracks are allowed.
The Special Antique Collection are an extra rustic grade with a brushed, raw appearance and characteristic natural raised knots and band saw stripes. End cracks and healthy open knots and cracks are allowed.
Responsible Purchase Policy

CE-Certification
Heywood has the CE-Certificate of approval which assures the compliance of properties of the specified timber species of hardwood product according to the relevant requirements of EN 14342 + A1, EN 9239-1 and EN 717-1.
Aged Surface Options
Heywood presently offers 4 different surface options: Antique (hand carved), New Antique (bandsaw striped), Special Antique (natural undulations) and European Oak (scattered irregular saw marks).
